She said in her life before politics, she was a radiology technician, so she knows how much this new technology has advanced over the old—leading to earlier detection, more effective treatment, and reduced mortality from breast cancer.

NAACP Calls For Minority Health Office

In the wake of a new report on how Connecticut’s health-care system is leaving behind African-Americans, a state NAACP official is calling for creation of a state Office of Minority Health funded by tobacco-settlement money.
