“Headache” Diagnosed

School officials said Heriberto Hernandez’s son was a “headache.” It turned out the headache was a symptom of a school staffing & communication disorder involving school nurses and the administration of medicine. Full story here.

St. Raphe’s Fined $12,000

A Soft Focus On The Body

The project started right here in New Haven, where Anna Deavere Smith collected the words of doctors and patients while serving as visiting professor at the Yale School of Medicine. The project soon spilled beyond the walls of the Yale-New Haven Hospital, though, and by the time the project was completed, she had interviewed athletes and supermodels, healers and hospice-workers, human rights activists and war criminals.
