Melvyn Williams

Melvyn Williams, Sr. of New Haven, CT passed away January 31, 2010. Melvyn was born to the late Phillip and Vandina (Stevenson) Williams. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Gertrude Hill Williams of New Haven, sons, Melvyn Williams, Jr, Rev. Phillip (Elaine) Franklin Williams, II, Frank R. Whitfield (Catrice), Phillip F. William, III all of New Haven; daughters, Toni R. Brown (Steve) of Bloomfield, Rev. Kathy Dockery (Chester), Sonda Foreman (JayKeen) both of New Haven; sisters, Dorothy Richardson of Wallingford, Ernestine Elliott of New Haven, Loraine Fidalgo of New Haven; sister-in-law, Elaine Williams of New Haven; 30 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Ernest Saunders, Lorenzo Fidalgo and sister, Gloria Stourt. A celebration of his life will take place Monday February 8, 2010 at 11 AM at the Inspiration Zion Ministries, 141 Grand Ave, New Haven, CT. Friends may call Monday at the church from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place in the CT Veterans’ Cemetery, Middletown, CT. Services by Howard K. Hill Funeral Services 1287 Chapel Street New Haven, CT 06511.
