Melanie Burgos grew up singing in church in Fair Haven. Now you can hear her inpublic in New Haven — and that makes you lucky.
Burgos took Leonard Cohen’s classic “Hallelujah” and made it her own during a visit Tuesday night to the WNHH studio during our 36-hour “Great Give” radiothon.
Burgos works for the International Festival of Arts & Ideas, one of the hundreds of not-for-profits raising money during the Community Foundation’s annual “Great Give” fundraising competition. She will sing at one of the festival’s May 30 “pop up” mini-fests back in her Fair Haven neighborhood.

And please consider donating to the International Festival, to WNHH (here), and to other not-for-profits through the “Great Give” at this website.
