A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty Friday to selling a 9 mm handgun to someone who was working with the cops in January.
The Connecticut U.S. Attorney’s office announced Friday that Brian “Malik” Redd pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to one count of possession of a gun by a convicted felon. According to court documents and statements, Redd and another person sold a Kahr Arms 9 mm pistol to someone who was working with cops. The sale was made near Truman and West Streets in the Hill on Jan. 21.
Redd, a convicted felon, was arrested on unrelated state firearms charges on April 5 and has been in custody ever since.
He will be sentenced on Jan. 31, 2011. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
