“That’s what mayors do. They gets things done. They make things happen.”
President Obama made that remark this week to the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
He made it following a reference to New Haven Mayor Toni Harp’s efforts this year to have community leaders and volunteers canvass neighborhoods to reach young people at risk of shooting someone or getting shot themselves.
