Police announced Sunday they’ve obtained warrants to arrest the men — who are 21 and 25 — with shooting 20-year-old Daryl S. McIver Jr. (pictured) to death. A worker at a Boulevard-based business had found McIver’s body upon arriving for work at 7:10 a.m. July 31.

Surveillance footage showed the two men following the victim through the business, firing on him from behind, rifling his pockets, then fleeing, according to police spokesman Officer David Hartman.

Detectives Michael Wuchek and Jams Naccarato cracked the case.

One of the suspects is at Corrigan Correctional Facility on other charges related to New Haven violence: allegedly killing Edmund Jackson on May 22, 2010, and shooting Marvin Jones on Sept. 16. 2011. The second suspect is at Whalley Avenue Correction Facility for an unrelated arrest” Hartman said.

This is the latest in a series of arrests for 2011 shootings and killings; and the latest example of how police believe a small number of people were involved in multiple cases.
