New Haven’s traveling Pee Wee Steelers made it to semi-finals of a national football championship series, finally falling to a team from the greater D.C. area.
Alexandra Paparsenos wrote in: “Your local New Haven Steelers fell to the Marshall Heights Bison (23 – 0) in the semi-finals of Division I Pee Wee competition at the 55th annual Pop Warner Super Bowl at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista, FL. They put up a tough fight but unfortunately will not advance to the finals of national competition.”
