If you want to build or rebuild something in New Haven, you’re going to need Jim Turcio’s OK.
Mayor Toni Harp has named Turcio the city’s new director of building and enforcement. He began the $103,372.45-a-year job this week.
Turcio, who’s 55, has worked for the city for 18 years in a variety of inspection and zoning positions.
In addition to signing off on building plans in his new position, he will oversee the city’s inspectors. He replaces Daniel O’Neil, who has been doing the job on an acting basis.
