East Rock, Morris Cove Voters Get Wrong Polling Place Information

Voters in Wards 10 and 18 received postcards from the city telling them to vote in Tuesday’s presidential primary — at the wrong polling places.

Voters in Ward 10 received postcards telling them to vote at Nathan Hale School. That’s where Ward 18 voters are supposed to go.

Voters in Ward 18 received postcards telling them to vote at Wilbur Cross High School. That’s where Ward 10 voters are supposed to go.

Democratic Registrar of Voters Shannel Evans said the printer hired by the city made the error. The city sent new cards to all voters last week to inform them of the mistake and of the proper polling stations. Evans said she expected all voters to receive the cards by the end of today.

Polls open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the Democratic and Republican presidential primaries. For more information on where to vote, call the Registrar of Voters Office at (203) 946‑8035. Or click here to find your polling place. (The city polling place list can be found here.)
