For the second time in two years, city supervisory workers have voted to replace their union president.

The latest vote took place Thursday, when members of AFSCME Local 3144 elected Harold Brooks their new president.

Brooks (pictured above at a 2018 protest outside City Hall) defeated the incumbent, Malinda Figueroa, 163 – 94. Figueroa had won the presidency in 2017 when she challenged then-President Cherlyn Poindexter.
