City government and business leaders have launched an “Eat New Haven” campaign to encourage people to order from restaurants to help them survive the Covid-19 pandemic.
The campaign created this website to list ordering options sell gift cards.
Steve Fontana, deputy director of city government’s Economic Development Administration Office of Business development, stated that “this initiative is about more than helping restaurants get through the winter and the pandemic. It’s about celebrating the richness and diversity of the culinary offerings that make New Haven the ‘foodie capital’ of Connecticut and reaffirming the value and importance of local restaurants to the City of New Haven, many of which are owned by or employ New Haven residents.”
“These restaurants are invested in our community and committed to serving us, and we want to encourage every New Haven resident to do what they can to support them by making an effort to order from them as often as possible,” Fontana said.
