Assistant Police Chief Karl Jacobson Monday afternoon called the death “suspicious.” Further details are being withheld for now.
At 12:06 p.m. police were called to Jack’s Bar & Steakhouse at the corner of College and Crown streets.
The bodies of two men were found inside a supply closet inside the restaurant.

Jacobson said the two men, estimated to have been in their mid-50s, appeared to have died of a drug overdose.
Police encountered a third man at the entrance to the restaurant who was also suffering from an apparent overdose, Jacobson said. That man was taken to the hospital.

Jacobson said he doesn’t know if the overdoses resulted from a bad batch of drugs, or simply from the effects of regular drug use.
Both investigations are continuing. None of the people involved have been publicly identified.
