ORDER AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF NEIGHBORHOOD STABILIZATION PROGRAM III FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF APPROXIMATELY $1,041,597 UNDER THE HUD DODD/FRANK FINANCIAL REFORM ACT FOR ACQUISITION AND REHABILITATION OF FORECLOSED, ABANDONED AND/OR BLIGHTED STRUCTURES IN DIXWELL, FAIR HAVEN, THE HILL AND NEWHALLVILLE.
Order of the Board of Aldermen authorizing the Mayor to enter into a supplemental agreement with Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc. in the amount of $50,000 for construction and inspection services for the Route 34 traffic signal control signal modernization project.
Order of the Board of Aldermen authorizing the Mayor to enter an agreement with the State of Connecticut for inspection and construction services in the amount of $140,000 associated with the modernization and expansion of the central control signal system (ConnDOT Projects 92 – 488; 92 – 564, 14 intersections).
From the President/CEO of Empower New Haven, Inc. submitting the first quarterly report for FY2009-2010 covering the period June through August 2009.

ORDER REQUESTING THAT THE APPROPRIATE COMMITTEE OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN HOLD HEARINGS ON THE CURRENT MORTGAGE AND FORECLOSURE CRISIS WITH LENDERS AND REPRESENTATIVES OF THE INDUSTRY TO RECOMMEND EFFORTS TO HELP HOMEOWNERS STAY IN THEIR HOMES, END PREDATORY LENDING, AND DISCUSS MEASURES TO RESTORE THE PUBLIC CONFIDENCE IN MORTGAGE MARKETS.
RESOLUTION OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN URGING SUPERVALU TO DELAY THE CLOSING OF THE NEW HAVEN SHAW’S GROCERY STORE UNTIL SUCH TIME ASNEW BUYER IS FOUND AND TO WORK WITH THE NEW BUYERS OF ITS NEARBY LOCATIONS TO FACILITATE THE HIRING OF ITS NEW HAVEN WORKERS AT THE NEW STORES SHOULD IT BE UNABLE TO FIND ONE.
