Aldermanic Notice

The Human Services Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:

Resolution of the Board of Alderman of the City of New Haven authorizing the application for and acceptance of a grant in the amount of $11,000 from Yale University’s Community Alliance for Research and Engagement (CARE) to develop the Healthy Corner Store Initiative.

Resolution authorizing the application to and acceptance of a grant in the amount of $10,000 from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven to create a report on the status of women and girls in New Haven.

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTOCONTRACT WITH THE CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH FOR THE PURPOSE OF STORING DIETHYLENETRIAMINEPENTAACETATE (DTPA) AT NO COST TO THE CITY.

In addition to the previously posted legislative matters, this agenda has been amended to include a public hearing on:

* From the Chairman of the New Haven Peace Commission submitting a resolution calling upon our elected representatives in Congress to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and bring our troops and tax dollars home.
