THE LEGISLATION COMMITTEE WILL MEET ON THURSDAY, JUNE 12, 2014 AT 6:30 P.M. IN THE BOARD OF ALDERS CHAMBER OF CITY HALL, 165 CHURCH STREET, TO HEAR:
ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO AMEND THE FOLLOWING SECTIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE: (I) SECTION 1, IN ORDER TO DELETE THE DEFINITION OF “HEIGHT” AND REPLACE IT WITH DEFINITIONS OF “HEIGHT” AND “HEIGHT, AVERAGE”; (II) SECTION 43(B)(1) BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING TO THE TABLE: “**WHERE A LOT IN A BD1 DISTRICT ABUTS AN RS1, RS2, RM1 OR RM2 RESIDENCE DISTRICT, THE MAXIMUM PERMITTED FAR IS 3.0”; (III) SECTION 43(C) BY ADDING THE FOLLOWING AS SUBSECTION (6): “WHERE A LOT IN A BD1 DISTRICT ABUTS PROPERTY IN AN RS1, RS2, RM1 OR RM2 RESIDENCE DISTRICT, A MAXIMUM BUILDING OR STRUCTURE HEIGHT OF 70 FEET IS PERMITTED”; AND (IV) SECTION 45(A)(1)A.1. TO PROVIDE THAT THE PARKING REQUIREMENT FOR A DWELLING UNIT IN THE BD1 DISTRICT SHALL BE THE SAME AS FOR A DWELLING IN THE RH2 DISTRICT (I.E. 0.75 SPACE PER DWELLING UNIT) (ROLAN YOUNGSMITH ON BEHALF OF SPINNAKER)

THE DESIGNATION OF LAND KNOWN AS 630 CHAPEL STREET (MAP 225 BLOCK 0532 PARCEL 00600) AND 673 CHAPEL STREET (MAP 225 BLOCK 0548 PARCEL 01300) FROM BA TO BD1; AND FURTHER, TO AMEND ZONING ORDINANCE SECTION 43(b)(1) BY ADDING “WHERE A LOT IN A BD1 DISTRICT ABUTS A RESIDENCE DISTRICT ALONG A SIDE OR REAR LOT LINE, THE MAXIMUM PERMITIED FLOOR AREA RATIO (FAR) IS 3.0.” {SUBMISSION OF JANUARY 7, 2014}
