The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
- From the Police Chief, a resolution authorizing the application to and acceptance of a grant from the U. S. Department of Justice, 2011 Smart Policing Initiative Grant Program, in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 for a 24-month period.
- From the Police Chief, a resolution authorizing an interagency agreement between the City of New Haven and the Town of Hamden for the joint performance of non-emergency law enforcement and police services.
- From Alderman Blango, submitting an order calling for a public hearing to install and utilize surveillance cameras in sections of Ward 20 where there are high levels of violent crimes, robberies and drug activities.
