Aldermanic Notice

The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:

(1) From the Police Chief submitting a resolution authorizing the application to and acceptance of a grant for $3,105,855 from the U. S. Department of Justice, 2013 COPS Hiring Program, for the purpose of hiring 15 police officers for 3 years.

(2) From Zee Wee D. Mpala submitting a request for the Board of Aldermen to examine the conditions of police vans for the purpose of assuring better ventilation in the vehicles.
