The Human Services Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION TO AND ACCEPTANCE OF A TWO-YEAR GRANT OF UP TO $130,000 FROM THE NATIONAL CENTER FOR BENEFITS OUTREACH AND ENROLLMENT AT THE NATIONAL CENTER ON AGING TO ENROLL AT LEAST 1,300 SENIORS AND YOUNGER PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES IN THE PUBLIC BENEFITS TO WHICH THEY ARE ENTITLED BUT WHICH THEY DO NOT PRESENTLY RECEIVE.
THE COMMITTEE WILL ALSO HOLD A WORKSHOP TO DISCUSS AND ACCEPT PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE CUTS TO THE LUNCH PROGRAM FOR ELDERLY RESIDENTS BY THE AGENCY ON AGING OF SOUTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT.
