Aldermanic Notice — New Haven

The Finance Committee will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, May 13, 2009, at 6:00 P.M, in the Aldermanic Chambers, 165 Church St., New Haven, to act upon the following items;

1. ORDER TO READ AND FILE THE REQUIRED BUDGETARY AND FINANCIAL REPORTS FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH 2009 IN COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION #62 OF THE CHARTER

2. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES AUTHORIZING THE NEW HAVEN FIRE DEPARTMENT TO PURSUE RECOVERY OF SPECIALIZED RESCUE COSTS THROUGH INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENTS.

3. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN APPROVING CHANGES TO SECTION 29 – 31 (F) OF THE CODE OF GENERAL ORDINANCES REGARDING THE REDUCTION FROM $200 TO $100 OF THE CUMULATIVE DELINQUENCY AMOUNT FOR VEHICLE IMPOUNDMENT (WHEEL IMMOBILIZATION).

4. ORDINANCE AMENDMENT AMENDING SECTION 2 – 302 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REQUIRING WAIVERS OF PENSIONS BY RETIREES ACCEPTING COMPENSATION FROM THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN FOR PERFORMING THE DUTIES OF ANY FULL TIME OR PART TIME NON-ELECTED MUNICIPAL POSITION OR ASCONSULTANT PERFORMINGFUNCTION SUBSTANTIALLY SIMILAR TO ANY FULL TIME OR PART TIME NON-ELECTED MUNICIPAL POSITION.

5. ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN REQUESTING THAT THE APPROPRIATE CITY DEPARTMENT HEADS OR THEIR DESIGNEES REPORT ON THE CURRENT FINANCIAL AND ACTUARIAL STATUS OF THE CITYS PENSION FUNDS; PROVIDEFIVE YEAR FINANCIAL AND ACTUARIAL PROJECTION FOR THE PENSION FUNDS AND THE STATUS OF PRIVATE EMPLOYERS PAYMENTS FOR EXTRA DUTY TIME NEEDED TO COVER THE ACTUAL ADDITIONAL PENSION COST INCURRED
