Board of Alders — Notice

The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Alders will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 15 at 6 p.m. in the Alder Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
1. From the City Engineer submitting an Order of the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven approving the Mayor to apply for and accept $1,000,000 from the State of Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development for renovations to the former Army Reserve Center at 200 Wintergreen Avenue for use as a police academy and indoor firing range.
2. From the Chief Administrative Officer submitting a Resolution of the Board of Alders of the City of New Haven authorizing the Mayor of the City of New Haven to submit an application to the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency to purchase 95 portable radios and a new heavy duty rescue vehicle, and to accept such funds if offered and to execute all documents and contracts as necessary.
In addition, the committee will hold a workshop to discuss the Project Longevity program.
