Board of Alders Notice — New Haven

The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Alders will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alder Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, OFFICE OF THE ARTS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,000.00 TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND CONSULTATION SERVICES TO ESTABLISH AN EXHIBIT SHOWCASING THE HISTORY OF THE NEW HAVEN POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND TO ACCEPT SUCH FUNDS IF OFFERED AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS AS NECESSARY.
In addition, the committee will hold a workshop on the following legislative matter:
* FROM ALDER ANTUNES SUBMITTING AN ORDER CALLING FORREVIEW AND PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE CITY’S POLICIES AND PRACTICES FOR REQUIRING ORGANIZERS OF PARADES, FESTIVALS AND OTHER PUBLIC EVENTS TO REIMBURSE THE COSTS OF SECURITY, CLEANUP AND OTHER SERVICES THE CITY PROVIDES.
