Board of Alders — Notice

The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Alders will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 18 at 6 p.m. in the Alder Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT OFFICE OF POLICY AND MANAGEMENT FORCRIME ANALYSIS GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00 TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT LONGEVITY PROGRAM AT THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE SERVICE AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS AS NECESSARY.
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ALDERS OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NEW HAVEN TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT OFFICE OF POLICY AND MANAGEMENT FORJUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) EQUIPMENT GRANT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000.00 TO SUPPORT THE PROJECT LONGEVITY PROGRAM AT THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE SERVICE AND TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS AND CONTRACTS AS NECESSARY.
In addition, the following matters are posted for committee action only (proposed for leave‑to‑withdraw).
ORDER OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN CALLING FORPUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS THE CITY’S SHOTSPOTTER GUNSHOT LOCATOR SYSTEM, GIVEN ISSUES THAT HAVE BEEN RAISED ABOUT ITS ACCURACY.

RESOLUTION OF THE NEW HAVEN BOARD OF ALDERMEN CALLING FORPUBLIC HEARING TO REVIEW COMMUNICATIONS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT AND OVERALL IMPLICATIONS FOR COMMUNITYBASED POLICING RAISED BYRECENT SHOOTING INCIDENT IN THE HILL NEIGHBORHOOD.
