The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Alders will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alder Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
* From Alder Festa submitting an Order of the New Haven Board of Alders calling for a public hearing to discuss all appropriate safety measures, especially proper communication with the public that should be implemented by city agencies when an emergency situation develops at a New Haven location.
* From the Community Service Administrator submitting a resolution of the Board of Alders authorizing the Mayor of the City of New Haven to apply for and accept a grant award in the amount of $75,000 from the United States Department of Justice under the Justice Mental Health Collaboration Program (CDFA #16.745) for the period October l, 2017 through September 30, 2018 to support planning of the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion (LEAD) initiative.
