Aldermanic Notice: Human Services Committee

The Human Services Committee of the New Haven Board of Alders will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 30 in the Alder Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:

* From Alders Brackeen and Colon and the New Haven Peace Commission, submitting a Resolution calling for reduction of the United States military budget and redirecting funds to human needs in our cities.

* From the Community Services Administrator, submitting a Resolution authorizing the Mayor accept $250,000 of matched implementation funding from the Cities for Financial Empowerment to provide certified financial counseling for low-income persons and families in New Haven.
