The Public Safety Committee of the New Haven Board of Aldermen will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3 in the Aldermanic Chamber of City Hall, 165 Church St., re:
AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 4 ¬Ω, OF THE NEW HAVEN CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO BURGLAR ALARM SYSTEMS.

— The committee will also hold a workshop to continue discussing Taser usage by the police department.
In addition to the matters previously posted, the committee will hear the following matters:
- From the Acting community Services Administrator submitting a resolution authorizing the application to and acceptance of $350,000 from the U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, to support the city’s prison reentry initiative.
- From the Chief of Police submitting a resolution authorizing the application to and acceptance of $163,806 from the U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Byrne 2009 Justice Assistance Grant to support local law enforcement.
