Arneta Chesson, 80, of New Haven, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019.
She was born in Hyde County, NC to the late Sim and Bessie Barrow Gibbs on February 17, 1939.
Arneta leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Charles (Judy) Chesson, Jr., Marvin (Veronica) Chesson, Michael (Rebecca) Chesson, Sr., Glenn Jeffery (Catherine) Chesson; daughters, Charlene Chesson and Angie Chesson (Aerial) Boxill; sisters, Arlease Edwards and Bessie (Jimmie) Jefferson; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles Chesson, Sr.; brothers, Williams Gibbs, Carlise Gibbs, Ernest Gibbs, Sim Gibbs, Jr., and Dennis Gibbs; and sisters, Mary Coburn, Lou Mae Stanley, Margaret Davis, Pearline Cannon, and Evine Brunson.
A celebration of life will take place Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 9:00 AM at The New Trinity Temple C.O.G.I.C. 285 Dixwell Ave, New Haven, CT 06511.
