Audra Domineke Clark, a consummate educator, and lifelong resident of New Haven, CT transitioned from this life unexpectedly on January 10, 2022.
Audra was born in New Haven on May 4, 1986. She graduated from Hill Regional Career High School in 2003 and continued her educational journey; pursuing her life passion for learning graduating The University of Hartford earning a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education in 2008. She obtained a Masters of Education with a concentration of Elementary Education in 2010. She began her career at The Goddard School in Orange, CT. She subsequently performed home assessments and early intervention for children with special needs. She then joined the New Haven Public School System as a Kindergarten Teacher at Lincoln Bassett. Later she served as a Science Park Site Director for New Haven Reads. She would often spend countless hours outside of the confines of work helping children with special needs and learning disabilities- Audra LOVED working with children. She had a natural ability to gain trust and admiration of children-she usually carried crayons, activity books, and toys …just in case.
Her extensive knowledge base prompted her to recently pass her real estate licensing exam. She formed her own business, the Taurus Tutoring & Consulting, LLC, to continue providing curriculum and teaching support to local early childhood centers as well as to continue tutoring multiple children in the home environment.
Audra is predeceased by her beloved mother, Ailene Syphrette Clark. She is survived by her loving father, Gregory Clark, Sr. (spouse Monique); grandmother, Iris Syphrette; devoted siblings, April Clark and Gregory Clark, Jr.; along with her four-legged son, Reece.
Along with her immediate family Audra leaves a host of maternal and paternal aunts, uncles, adoring cousins, and very dear friends.
