Chanel Nicole Blackmon-Parker, 33, of New Haven, passed away June 25, 2017.
She was born in New Haven to Daniel and Shanda Blackmon on Aug. 14, 1983. She was employed at Yale-New Haven Hospital until her illness.
Chanel leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Chae, Antwon, Shawn, and Daniel; brother, Dante Blackmon; maternal grandparents, Charles Warren and Catherine Warren-Ford; paternal grandfather, Daniel Blackmon; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. She was predeceased by her beloved paternal grandmother, Lelia Blackmon; and beloved grandparent, Herbert Ford.
A viewing will be held Friday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Howard K. Hill Funeral Services, 1287 Chapel St, New Haven, CT 06511. A celebration of life will take place Saturday at 9 a.m. at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 26 Edwards St, Hamden, CT 06517. Friends may call Saturday at the church from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Interment will be at Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven.
