Ella Collins Moore-Tate, 82

Ella M. Collins Moore-Tate (82) born on November 25th,1937 to the late Tom and Lillie Bell Collins.

Ella earned her wings on April 21st, 2020 peacefully at her home, surrounded by her children, after a long battle with cancer.

Ella worked at Echlin’s for many years and was employed by Sarah Seneca Residential Services for many years as a support staff, before becoming ill. She was the Mother of her Church, New Growth Praise Center under the direction of Elder Betty Marks and son Elder Scott Marks. Ella loved to go to Church.

Ella was the matriarch of the Blash, Collins, and Davis family. She was such an amazing woman who was strong and independent, loved to laugh, visit with her family and friends in her spare time and taking care of her clients. She had an amazing spirit, was very positive, loving, and caring. She touched the hearts of many everywhere she went with her beautiful smile and kind words. She also loved her cat Tiga.

Ella leaves to cherish her memory — Daughter; Kim Moore-Bacote. Sons; Gregory, Charles and Kevin Moore all of New Haven. Two Step Daughters; Katherine Mills and Denise Tate both of Florida. Sister; Patricia Pittman of New Haven. Brother; Robert Howie of Rocky Hill. Twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her Husband Sydney Tate, Daughter Cheryl Moore, brother Charles (Jerry) Collins, Sister Marlene Smith, and Son-In-Law, Anthony Bacote Sr.

Ella was loved by many and will be truly missed
