Gloria Raymond, born August 31, 1935, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 8:00 PM at Yale New Haven Hospital (St. Raphael Campus).
Gloria Raymond and her family migrated to the United States in the early 1980’s from Jamaica, moving to New Haven, Connecticut, where she was employed as a Nursing Assistant at Arden House for over 20 years.
Gloria leaves behind six children: Novlett, Danny, Melva, Winston, Marcia & Mark; her loving partner and friend, Sydney Raymond; brothers, Rugby, Neville, Herbert, and Roy; sister, Evadnie Andrews “aka” Aunt Fordie; sister-in-law, Rita Brown; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Gloria was predeceased by sons, Errol Williams and Mark Johnson; sister, Deserene Campbell; brothers, Clarence Brown, Samuel Davis, Nigel Reynolds, and Cleveland Barrett.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Mount of God Tabernacle Church, 64 Marlboro Street, Hamden, CT 06517 on May 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
