Nicole Marie Nikki” Minervini, 42

Nicole Marie Nikki” Minervini died unexpectedly at home on August 30, 2022.

Born June 13, 1980 in New Haven, she was the daughter of Alfred Minervini and Phyllis Massimino Verdoliva. Nikki worked many years for the City of New Haven, beginning with the New Haven Animal Shelter and most recently for the Livable City Initiative (LCI).

Nikki enjoyed fishing, riding her motorcycle, animals, and a good Sunday Patriots game. She loved life and strived to make everyone happy. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her will miss her kind heart, beautiful smile and contagious laugh.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her sister Anna (Danny) Arroyo, niece Giana Casanova, nephews Robert Casanova Jr and Alex Arroyo; along with her grandmother, Josephine Torre Massimino. In addition, many aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends. She was predeceased by grandparents Frank Massimino, and Rose and Nathan Minervini Jr.

Visiting hours will be Thursday, Sept. 8, from 8:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Pl., New Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Rd., East Haven at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of CT, Inc. www.epilepsyct.com.
