Rene J. Dupuis, 60, of New Haven, passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020. He was born in Rumford, Maine to Marie Pepin Dupuis and Albert Dupuis.
Rene worked in the construction industry. He was also a mason of Day Spring Lodge #30 of Hamden. He received his BA in Wind Turbine Technology from Gateway Community College. He cared deeply for the environment.
Rene loved to ride his motorcycle. He also loved to care for other people. He volunteered his time with Habitat for Humanity building homes in the community. He would stop and feed the homeless on the side of the street and wouldn’t hesitate to donate clothing to charities. He was just an overall giving person.
Rene leaves to cherish his memory, loving companion, Sandra Downes; brother, Marc Dupuis; sisters, Lise Cormier, Edith Cagno, and Julie Albert; and several nieces and nephews.
