Richard Daniel Dick” Majka, 73

Richard Daniel Dick” Majka, 73, of New Haven, passed away February 20 at Yale New Haven Hospital.

He was born in Springfield, Mass., Sept. 16, 1946, the son of William Phillip and Julia Majka.

Dick graduated from Westfield High School in Massachusetts. He received a B.S. in physics from the University of Massachusetts in 1968 and a Ph.D. in physics from Yale University in 1974.

Dick loved The Sleeping Giant Park. He was a frequent contributor to The Giant News , as well as being the author on over 200 publications in High Energy and Nuclear Physics.

Dick is survived by his brother, William Joseph Majka of Harkness, N.Y.

He is predeceased by his parents and many family members.
