Semi Semi-Dikoko, 69

Semi Semi-Dikoko, son of the late Jean Esaie Dikoko and Dorcas Wumba-Di-Mazimi, was born on July 27, 1953, in Sonabata Missionary Hospital in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He attended primary and secondary school at Athénée Royal de Kalina and graduated from Université Lovanium and Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

Semi came to New Haven in 1991 to consult for Southern New England Telephone Company as a Systems Architect. Semi was passionate about technology and computer science. He was also active in the Great New Haven arts community, recently acting as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Artspace and an influential member of the Westville arts community in New Haven, Connecticut. Semi also served on the Boards of Urban Resources Initiative, New Haven Sister Cities, and advocated for environmental and human development causes in appreciation for a great community.

Semi Semi-Dikoko died at Smilow Cancer Hospital on September 8, 2022. His family, friends, and community will cherish the beautiful life he lived. He leaves behind his sisters, Annie Gumba K. Ngongi, Lucienne Nkebani-Diakese, Esther, Marie-Fanny, and Pierrette Dikoko.

Brothers: Maxime Luzolo, Luc Fabius Clyde Mundele, Malanda and Kiakou Dikoko.Nieces: Simone Ngongi-Lukula & Sarah Ngongi-Wumba; Christy Masamba, Bijoux, Lynne, Nancy Luzolo, Brinchie L. Nzoutsi Bouanga, Alexandrine and Sylvie Backenga.Nephews: Noel, Tonton, Adore, Djo Luzolo, and Hyacinthe Mountima Backenga.

He was predeceased by his mother Dorcas Wumba, his father Jean Esaie Dikoko, Sisters Marie Lessa, Jeanne Nsagna, and brothers Dede Vuaki, Francois Kinsumba, Martin Mbindoumounou.
Nephews: Christian Ngongi-Semi, Christian Luzolo, and Vianey Backenga.
