Takisha Johnson was born April 10, 1976, in New Haven, CT to Eric and Cathleen Rogers. She was the wife of Jermaine Jackson. She departed this earth on Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, God bless her warrior spirit.
She resided in New Haven, CT for all her life, and graduated from Wilbur Cross High School. Kisha worked in the Yale New Haven Health System for 20-plus years, up until her illness caused her to retire. During her time at Yale, she made friends that she’ll cherish forever and touched the hearts of many.
Kisha thrived by including fitness and wellness into her everyday life which granted her a new outlook on her future. She enjoyed bringing her family together to create memorable moments. She was a very talented singer and her love for the arts shifted into her children. Kisha is a pillar of strength in supporting her loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memories husband, Jermaine Jackson; two sons, Keishon Jackson and Mychael Green; one daughter, Ajae Jackson; parents, Eric and Cathleen Rogers; one sister, Ericka Ford (Curtis); one niece, Skyelyn Moreno; one nephew, Trevon Ford; mother-in-law, Joyce Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Milton Jackson and Gregory Jackson (Elizabeth); and one sister-in-law Kimbery Jackson. A host of other close relatives and loving friends.
She is predeceased by her grandparents, Willie and Berthena Johnson, and Lenord and Gladys Rogers.
