Winnie Phillips Cue, 59 was born in New Haven and departed this life on April 15, 2020, peacefully in her sleep after a long illness. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the final days of her life.
Winnie was raised in New Haven and graduated from Lee High School and later earned an Associates Degree from the University of Phoenix. She was employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield and then YNHH/St. Raphael’s Hospital as a Call Center Analysis.
Winnie was a baptized member of Vertical Church in West Haven and was associated with the women in battle ministry.
She was a member and very passionate about her involvement with the “Nucleus Group”, who were very inspirational in the organizing of the New Haven “Botanical Garden of Healing” which is dedicated to victims of Gun Violence.
She has been blessed to have been a part of a very close-knit family and always enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and we all will surely miss that magnetic smile.
Winnie is survived by her Mom Gladys Phillips Adams, two sons Brandon Mack and Devin Cue, 6 Grandkids, Lavias Jr, Lavojanee, Josiah and Chase Phillips, Mahogany Goodson and Brielle Mack, 5 Great grandkids Harmony, Noah and Lavias Phillips III, Jade and Troy Goodson, 1 Brother Charles (Doreen) Phillips, and 3 Sisters, Sheila (Fred) Tyson, Sandra Phillips and Michelle Phillips Sharif. She also will be leaving behind a host of nieces, nephews, countless cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her loving son Lavias Phillips, her dear father Charles Phillps Sr. and her loving brother Steven Phillips. May God Bless her Soul.
