A Holiday Gift For Westville

inger.jpgMany gifts actually — in a new store in the Village, opened by two Westvillers.

The new shop is called Village Gifts. Inger DaSilva (pictured) opened it at 897 Whalley with her friend and neighbor Sharon Lovett-Graff, who’s a librarian at the Westville branch.

The pair had been planning to open a Westville gift store for three years. They waited for the right space to open. That happened when an art therapy storefront named Flew The Coop flew the coop (next door to the Frame Shop, which DaSilva runs with her husband).

The store’s hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5:30; Friday and Saturday from 10 to 5; and, during Decembers, Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Westville Gifts is the second shop started this month by people from the neighborhood. Carol Frawley opened the Deja Brew coffeehouse at West Rock Avenue and Edgewood. Click here to read about that venture.
