Nothing could be finer than coffee at the diner. Would you like to chat with a Branford cop in an informal setting? Or help the Branford Land Trust at a special pint sized event? Or hear some real cool jazz? Read on as our weekend events unfold today.
Thursday, Nov. 6
Coffee With A Cop. Have a cup of coffee with a cop at the Parthenon Diner, 374 East Main St. Branford police officers will come together with residents at an informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships and have a cup of coffee together. The majority of contacts cops have with the public occur during emergencies, or emotional situations, not the best time for relationship building with the community. Coffee with a Cop, a new program, breaks down barriers and allows for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction. Conversation begins at 6 p.m.
Pints to Protect Our Land

Proceeds benefit the Branford Land Trust. Trailblazer is located at 1004 Main St., across from the Green, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Free and open to the public.
