A 40-year-old Hamden driver sped through a stop sign and into a snowbank, then a utility pole — and lost his life.
So reported Hamden police spokesperson Capt. Ronald Smith.
The crash occurred at Prospect and Morse streets Sunday around 10:30 p.m.
The driver, Thomas Henderson, “was traveling eastbound on Morse Street at a high rate of speed, Smith wrote in a release. “The vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign, located at the corner of Morse Street and Prospect Street. The vehicle subsequently struck a snowbank, before striking a utility pole. Hamden Fire Department personnel removed Henderson from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Smith asked anyone with information about the crash to call Officer Nicholas Lovett at (203) 281‑8218.
