Westville resident Laura Cahn has been named director of the Kehler Liddell Gallery, effective Sept. 1.
“Kehler Liddell represents many of Connecticut’s finest artists, and I will direct my efforts towards getting their work out to the public,” Cahn was quoted as saying in a press release.
Cahn will succeed Sarah Fritchey, who is leaving the organization to pursue a postgraduate degree.
According to the gallery’s press release, Cahn’s professional experience includes a decade of work at International Creative Management (ICM), most recently, the release indicates, “as an administrative assistant to ICM’s General Counsel.”
Cahn’s involvement in the local community includes co-chairing the Greater New Haven branch of the National Council of Jewish Women.
The Kehler Liddell Gallery, which represents 25 area artists and presents exhibitions on a regular basis, opened its doors (873 Whalley Ave.) in 2003.
