It was a day of relationships and collaboration” as 8th grade students from Saint Rose of Lima School, in New Haven, joined residents and clients from Mary Wade for an intergenerational day of education and fun.

It’s a wonderful program,” said Richard Knapp, 8th grade teacher at Saint Rose of Lima. Our students love the program; it brings out the very best in each of them. Mary Wade runs a first-rate intergenerational program here and our students love being with the residents. The students walk to Mary Wade every Thursday morning, and they just can not wait to get there,” said Knapp.

The result – each center receiving loads of post cards from all over the nation. Some of this artwork is displayed at the Connecticut State Capitol and The Mary Wade Home currently has about 30 pieces of post card artwork” on display in its Adult Day Care Center.
