Westville neighbors plan to meet with their alder and neighborhood top cop Wednesday evening to brainstorm ideas to counter a recent uptick in burglaries, car break-ins, and muggings.
Jonathan Gordon, who organized the meeting with the participation of District Manager Lt. Rose Dell and Alder Adam Marchand, posted the following announcement about it:
There will be a meeting next week to address crime in Westville. If you have been affected by crime in our community, are concerned about crime in our community, own a home, rent a home, have a car, have children, like to walk, or are otherwise part of Westville, you should be a part of this discussion and help to develop solutions. I will also ask any neighbors who are so inclined to assist me with delivering paper printouts of this information to all of the homes in Ward 25. I will be printing hundreds of copies at my own expense, so all I would need is 30 minutes of your time to help get the word out.
