Convenience Store Robber Brought His Own Plastic Bag

An armed robber made off with $900 in cash and eight cartons of cigarettes from the GSam Food Mart at 1336 Whalley — and used his own plastic bag to transport the booty.

So reported top West Hills/ Westville/ West Rock/ Amity/ Beverly Hills cop Lt. Elliot Rosa in his latest weekly crime-summary video (above).

The convenience store robbery took place this past Friday, Rosa reported. The robber pointed a gun to the clerk’s head to demand the money and cigarettes.

Detectives have brushed the spot for fingerprints and obtained other evidence in their quest to find the robber, who had arrived with his own plastic bag. (“Guess he didn’t want to pay the ten cents,” Rosa noted.)

Officers responded to a burglar alarm on Feb, 12 at Splash Car Wash — and found and arrested the burglar, who was still inside. Rosa credited Officers Christopher Troche, Brandon Cain and Savannah Smith for making the arrest.

A Mr. Rooter” crew returned to their truck after working a job on McKinley Avenue this past Friday to find that a burglar had gotten inside and escaped with a $500 snake drain machine.

Rosa ended the video with a teaser for next week’s report: He pointed to a Marine officer’s sword hanging behind him. Though he served in the military, Rosa was neither a Marine nor an officer. So why the sword? Tune in next week to find out …
