TAX LEVY AND REVENUE APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #2

In accordance with Article IV section 3 (a) and Article V section 1 (d) of the City Charter, 2013 revised, notice is hereby given of the enactment and approval of the following named ordinance:

TAX LEVY AND REVENUE APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #2
FOR FISCAL YEAR 2016 – 2017

Said ordinance is on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where it may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

The aforementioned ordinance was enacted by the Board of Alders on June 6, 2016 by a vote of 27 yeas and 0 nays. And approved by the Mayor on June 29, 2016.

Said ordinances will become operative and in effect on July 7, 2016.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO SECTION 17 – 201 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES AUTHORIZING ADDITIONS AND CHANGES REQUARDING PERMIT, LICENSE, AND USER FEESSECTION 17 – 201 AND ARTICLE III — PARKING, STOPPING AND STANDING, SECTION 29 – 55, RESIDENTIAL FEES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 – 2017.

Said ordinance is on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where it may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

Board of Alders Notice‑ New Haven: The New Haven Board of Alders will hold a Special Veto Meeting on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 immediately following it’s 7:00 PM Regular Meeting to act on the following item:

‑From the Mayor submitting, pursuant to the Article #111, Section #2B (2) (c) of the Revised City Charter, a veto of the vote on June 6, 2016, pursuant to Section #2‑374 of the City Ordinances (Policy Amendments), specifically the vote to approve Policy Amendment # 4 which reads:

Department Heads shall only be able to enter into MOUS that have economic impact with approval of the Board of Alders.”

Dog License Renewals Due

ATTENTION DOG OWNERS: Dog license renewals due by June 30th
Dog licenses for 2016 – 2017 are due by June 30th to comply with state statutes. Any dogs older than 6 months must have current rabies vaccination and license by July 1 of each year. For all newly licensed dogs, certificates proving the dog has been altered should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. An owner of an unlicensed dog is subject to a penalty of $1 per month beginning July 1st. Fees are $19 for non-neutered or non-spayed dog, and $8 for a neutered or spayed dog. To license your dog please visit Hall of Records, City Clerk’s Office, 200 Orange Street Room 202, New Haven, CT 06510.
