The New Haven Board of Assessment Appeals is having hearings for motor vehicle appeals Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 9 – 11:30 a.m., and on Monday evening, September 24, from 5 – 7:30 p.m., at the Assessor’s Office, New Haven City Hall, 165 Church St., New Haven, Connecticut. The sessions are open, and no appointment is needed for the appeal. Remember to bring your car information, such as vehicle identification number and registration, and your tax bill. You also need to bring your vehicle, so we can verify information from your hearing.

Mayor Toni Harp has declared a festival proclamation for Friday, September 14, 2018 in support of the 4th Annual New Haven Grand Prix. In suppor of the New Haven Grand Prix, the following streets will be closed from 4:00 PM September 14, 2018 to 12:00 AM September 15, 2018: Chapel Street (from Temple Street to High Street), High Street (from Chapel Street to Elm Street) and the Partial closures of Elm Street (from High Street to Temple Street).

In accordance with Article IV section 3 (a) and Article V section 1 (d) of the City Charter, 2013 revised, notice is hereby given of the enactment and approval of the following named ordinances:

ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #1 AUTHORIZING BUDGET TRANSFER #133 – 18‑1 TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM FY 2017 – 2018 GF 16008300 – 57710 IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($160,000.00) TO THE CORPORATION COUNSEL LEGAL LAWYERS ACCOUNT TO AMEND THE CURRENT LEGAL SERVICE AGREEMENTS WITH THE LAW FIRMS OF BERCHEM & MOSES; DEL SOLE & DEL SOLE; HALLORAN & SAGE; AND TO PAY FOR TAX APPEAL APPRAISALS.
ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS TO TITLE VI, VOLUME III, NEW HAVEN ZONING ORDINANCE, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES. (SRO MORATORIUM)
ESTABLISHINGVILLAGE CENTER MIXED USE ZONING DISTRICT (BA‑2) AND ZONING MAP AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE ZONING DESIGNATION OF PROPERTIES IN WESTVILLE VILLAGE FROM GENERAL BUSINESS (BA) TO VILLAGE CENTER MIXED USE (BA‑2).
APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE #3 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS, FISCAL YEAR 2019.

Said ordinances are on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where they may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

The aforementioned ordinances were enacted by the Board of Alders on June 4, 2018 by a vote of 27 yeas and 0 nays. And approved by the Mayor on June 19, 2018.

Said ordinances will become operative and in effect on July 6, 2018.

AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE SALARY FOR THE POSITION OF MAYOR FOR THE TERM COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2018 BY AMENDMING APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE # 1 BY TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET SALARY ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT $1506.50 TO THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR SALARY ACCOUNT

Said ordinance is on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where it may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

The aforementioned ordinance was enacted by the Board of Alders on January 16, 2018 by a vote of 25 yeas and 2 nays. And approved by the Mayor on January 30, 2018.

Said ordinance will become operative and in effect on February 7, 2018.
