November 7, 2017 Special and Municipal Election
The Electors of the City of New Haven are hereby warned to meet at their respective polling places in said City on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, for the following purpose:
To cast their votes for Judge of Probate To Fill Vacancy for the New Haven Probate District, Mayor, City Clerk, Board of Alders, and Board of Education District 1.
Notice is hereby given that the location of the polling places is as follows:

Absentee Ballots will be counted at the following central location: Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, Ground Floor, 200 Orange St., New Haven, CT.
Voting machines will be used. The polls will open at six o’clock in the morning (6:00 a.m.)and will remain open until eight o’clock in the evening (8:00 p.m.). Dated at New Haven, Connecticut, this 1st day of November, 2017.

The City Clerk’s office will open this Saturday, November 4th, from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and for an extra hour on Monday, November 6th (until 6 p.m.) so electors can cast absentee ballots for the Tuesday Municipal Election.

Dog licenses for 2017 – 2018 are due by June 30th to comply with state statutes. State requires licensing for any dogs older than 6 months; dogs must have current rabies vaccination and license by July 1st of each year. For all newly licensed dogs, certificates proving the dog has been altered should be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. An owner of an unlicensed dog is subject to penalty of $1.00 per month beginning July 1st. Fees are $19.00 for non-neutered or non-spayed dog, and $8.00 for a neutered or spayed dog. To license your dog please visit Hall of Records, City Clerk’s Office, 200 Orange Street, Room 202, New Haven, CT 06510.

Said ordinances are on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where they may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

The aforementioned ordinances were enacted by the Board of Alders on December 5, 2016 by a vote of 26 yeas and 0 nays. And approved by the Mayor on December 8, 2016.

Said ordinances will become operative and in effect on December 8, 2016.

Notice of Decision

In accordance with Article IV section 3 (a) and Article V section 1 (d) of the City Charter, 2013 revised, notice is hereby given of the enactment and approval of the following named ordinances:

ORDINANCE AMENDMENT TO APPROPRIATING ORDINANCE # 1AUTHORIZING BUDGET TRANSFER #202 – 17‑1 TRANSFERRING FUNDS FROM THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SUPRESSION HOLIDAY PAY ACCOUNT IN THE AMOUNT OF FIFTY-ONE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($51,500) AND TRANFSERING THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($33,500) TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE SALARY ACCOUNT AND EIGHTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ADMINISTRATIVE OTHER CONTRACTUAL ACCOUNT.

Said ordinance is on file in the City Clerk’s Office, Room 204, Kennedy Mitchell Hall of Records, 200 Orange St., where it may be inspected or copies applied for and reference thereto is hereby made a part of this notice.

The aforementioned ordinance was enacted by the Board of Alders on November 21, 2016 by a vote of 23 yeas and 7 nays. And approved by the Mayor on November 29, 2016.

Said ordinance will become operative and in effect on November 29, 2016.
