More masks. More tests. The option to go remote — just for a few weeks until the Covid-19 Omicron-variant surge passes.
Teachers are pressing those requests at a statewide “wear-black” event planned for Wednesday. Some students and board members joined in those requests at Monday night’s New Haven Board of Education meeting. It’s a common refrain – Connecticut is overshadowed by the Boston and New York metro areas. But is our restaurant scene overlooked?
For Scott Dolch, executive director of the Connecticut Restaurant Association, the obvious answer is yes. He joined the WNHHFM’s “Municipal Voice” program, hosted and produced by the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities, to talk about the state of our restaurants and rebuilding after the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was a night with news of change coming to Hamden and new energy on New Haven’s Board of Alders — and a special edition of “LoveBabz Love Talk” to track down what it all meant in real time.
Upper Westville candidates Van Hoesen and Brackeen this week at WNHH FM: Both are vaxxed.
One candidate handed out assignments to dozens of neighbors: Here’s your street. Here are the doors to knock on. Here are flyers to hand out. Let us know who’s voting.
At another end of the ward, the other candidate set out to meet voters as well. Alone.
