24 Hours, 4 Robberies

Armed men made off with cash in commercial hold-ups in Fair Haven, Beaver Hills, police reported.

Here’s what happened, according to Lt. Lisa Dadio:

A robber held up BC’s Deli on Ferry Street Tuesday at 11:35 a.m. Two men in face masks did the same at Shoppers Haven in the Fitch Street shopping plaza at 7:54 p.m. The employee struck one of the suspects with a chair and the other suspect fired the handgun at the employee and then fled the store. The employee was not injured in the incident.” Then, at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, a delivery man from More Than Pizza on Whalley reported a man in face mask mugged him on Whittelsey.

In all cases the robbers were armed. In all case they got away.

Meanwhile, a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg on Shelton Avenue at 11:17 p.m. Tuesday. He said two men were mugging him; they took his jacket and some cash. He went to the hospital for treatment.
