Irina-Camelia Begu signed her native Romanian flag at the CT Open tennis tournament in Westville Sunday. It was a veritable United Nations on the court.

Begu had a banner day, defeating Zarina Diyas (pictured) of Kashakstan in three sets.

Dominika Cibulkova of Slovokia had reason to rejoice, too, after defeating Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova.
